Meiji MT9900 Series Polarizing Microscope
The Meiji MT9900 series polarizing light microscope offers both transmitted and reflected light illumination. This microscope is ideal for studying bifrigence in rocks, polymers, minerals, etc. It can also be used for forensic analysis and crystal identification. The microscope features ergonomically positioned controls for stress free operation and increased efficiency. You can choose between a binocular or trinocular viewing head. It comes with a pair of super widefield compensating 10x eyepieces, one has a cross-line reticle with a guide pin. The bertand lens module allows for orthoscopic or conoscopic viewing and is rotatable and focusable. The analzyer and polarizer are both rotatable. Both a 1/4 wave and a first order red plates are provided with this microscope. The infinity plan acromat strain free 4x,10x, and 40x objectives provide clear and sharp images. The ceramic coated stage can rotate 360 degrees. Directly below the stage is the 1.25 N.A. strain free condenser with iris diaphragm in a dovetail focusing mount. This is offered in halogen or LED illumination.
